The Sexual Compatibility Project

Recruitment is now open for the next pilot study phase!

Researchers at Western University are looking for participants for a large-scale study on relationship experiences. Specifically, we are looking to recruit romantically attached individuals to learn about their perceived sexual preferences.

 

Note: People who are seeing someone very casually are still eligible for the study. If you stop seeing the person, no worries! Individuals in consensual non-monogamous relationships are also still eligible for the study.

 

This study is part of a series of studies to further investigate sexual similarity, sexual complementarity, and perceptual accuracy of sexual preferences, we hope that they will greatly improve our understanding of how people’s perceptions of sexual preferences may influence their sexual satisfaction and relationship quality.

To be eligible to participate, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must currently be

    • Including casual and consensual non-monogamous relationships

  2. You must be at least 18 years of age.

  3. Fluent in English

 

What the study entails. If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete a confidential online survey. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete, and you will be asked a series of questions about yourself and your sexual preferences. The total time of your participation will be approximately 30 minutes.

 

Compensation.  All compensation will be emailed to participants as Amazon gift cards. Participation in the research study will grant you entry to a draw for one of four $25.00 CAD/USD Amazon Gift Cards. You are not required to complete all the questions to be eligible for the gift card draw. You can withdraw from the survey, at any time, by simply exiting your browser window. Withdrawing from the survey will not jeopardize your survey compensation.
